IJME Leading A Consortium of Five Refereed Journals to Sponsor One of the Most Prestigious Conferences of Upcoming Year

Many universities and colleges now require and emphasize refereed journal publications. This has prompted the International Journal of Modern Engineering (IJME), four (4) other leading refereed international journals, and the Inter-American Council of Engineering and Technology Education (Intertech) to form a partnership—one sponsoring a joint conference to offer a unique opportunity for authors to publish theirs papers in one of these refereed journals.

On behalf of The 2006 IJME-INTERTECH Conference Committee, we are kindly requesting that you consider submitting papers in all areas of engineering and related technology. The 2006 IJME-INTERTECH International Conference is to be held at Kean University, New Jersey (1/2 hour from Manhattan), October 19-21, 2006.

As mentioned above, selected papers from this premier conference will be published in special issues of five (5) refereed international journals: International Journal of Modern Engineering, Journal of Industry and Higher Education, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Journal of STEM Education, and Journal of Technology Studies.

We are still seeking dedicated individuals to join us in planning committee for this conference. There are still few session chair positions available, especially in areas of general engineering, industrial technology, and entrepreneurship.  Please visit the conference web site for more information: http://www.ijme.us/IJME_Conference

We have also had an addition to our editorial staff. We are very pleased that Robert Canter of Virginia Tech has joined us as our new Associate Production Editor. Additionally, we have some new members on our editorial review board.

The current issue includes four articles, software review, and a book review. The acceptance rate for this issue was 20%. We hope you enjoy our current issue and continue to support the Journal and participate in the upcoming conference. As always, we welcome your suggestions and comments.
