Submission and Peer-Review Administration System

As editors for Academic
Journals and Conferences we have found the Peer review process for manuscript
submission, distribution, communication with authors and reviewers to be
expensive and inefficient. Most of this
process is managed by Graduate Assistants and constant rotation causing
re-training cost and chances for errors. As a result, International Technology
Solutions, Inc developed a Web based document management system called ReView that automates the entire
process. This automated system will
eliminate all manual tasks and allow the editors to easily monitor the real
time status of all activities. It is a complete solution for Document
submissions and Peer review administration process. An overview of the system
features are listed below:

Submission Process:
- Authors
can self register with their profile before submission
- Password
authentication and security
- Password
reminder facility if author forget password
- Ability
to select Publication (Spring Issue or Fall Issue)
- Document
submission with capturing Co-authors information
- Ability
select Keywords of Paper submission from pre-defined table
- Document
status availability (Submitted, In Process, 1Comment, 2Comments, Final
Comments, Resubmit, and Accept)

reviewer process:

- When
review submitted, receive confirmation of what was submitted (Score and
Comments)

by Editor-In-Chief or Editor:

to configure email address (one or more) when events occurred
- Receive
an email when document submitted by an author
- Ability
to download the document submitted by author and blind-it (Remove name and
affiliation and Upload back to web site for Reviewer to see the blinded
copy)
- Ability
to select reviewers from drop down based on Keyword submission by author
and Reviewer’s matching Keyword expertise.
- Send
e mail when Reviewer is assigned
- Send
email (Thank you) (Configurable) when review is submitted by Reviewer
- Ability
send reminders to Reviewers
- Ability
to assign to a third reviewer if there is conflict on two reviewers (One
says it is good and other says it is reject)
- Ability
to manage comments from each reviewers and copy into final comments where
author can see only comments that you wanted to see.
- Calculate
score of review
- Capturing
history on each document

to send “Call for Papers” for all database email list and history
