Welcome to the 2008 IAJC-IJME
Conference. The conference committee has strived to
present one of the most selective and prestigious
conferences of the year. Since the main goal of the
conference was to be a prelude to journal publication,
standards were set very high, and the review process
employed was rigorous.
Conference Statistics:
A total of 487 abstracts from more than 150 educational
institutions and companies were submitted from around the
world. After a multi-level review process—papers were
subjected to blind reviews by three or more highly qualified
reviewers—a total of 146 papers were accepted and are
published in the conference proceedings. This reflects an
acceptance rate of less than 30%, which is one of the lowest
acceptance rates of any international conference. Authors
included presidents, deans, chairs, faculty, industry
experts, and students representing more than 100 major
educational institutions and companies from the United
States and 15 other countries.
The conference was
sponsored by the International Association of Journals and
Conferences (IAJC), which includes 14 member journals
and a number of universities and organizations. Selected
papers from this premier conference will be published in one
of the growing list of (14 or more) IAJC journals. |
